Oh My Jam: Pumps and Bowties 3 (an Inside Out soiree)
The Queer Mafia teams up with the 2015 Inside Out LGBT Film Festival for a hip hop, R&B and reggae dance party. It includes music by DJs Dae, J-Ill and High Fantasy, and a photo booth. Some of the proceeds will go toward the festival.

Sashay Halloween: Party Monster
The massive, quarterly party returns for Halloween. They’ve gone all-out this time, with DJs Ashley Gauthier and Chris Murray opening for DJ Dawson from New York City. There are also go-go dancers and performances by such drag luminaries as Koko Shennel, Kiki Coe and Markida Brown.

Inside Out LGBT Film Festival
Since 2007, Inside Out has produced a four-day festival of queer cinema in Ottawa. This year’s festival includes a screening of Tab Hunter Confidential, about the silver screen legend with boy-next-door good looks whose homosexuality was a source of tension for the studio.

Queer and disabled woman-of-colour Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha launches two books, Dirty River and Body Map. The Lambda Award–winning author’s latest works talk, in part, about her history of abuse, and how she moved to Canada in the 1990s and discovered “queer anarchopunk love and revolution.”

Comedians Debra DiGiovanni and Darcy Michael have been friends for nine years. Now they’re touring together. Geez! Get a room. The duo is in Ottawa for only one night to tell some hilarious anecdotes. In a recent interview with Daily Xtra, DiGiovanni describes the show as “like a therapy session, but with more laughing.”
