Filthy Dirty Art Show

Each year, this sex and book shop holds a sexy art exhibit fundraiser for its bursary fund. The third annual show includes work by Rebekah Elkerton, Leah Hicks, Jaymie Delight, Mark Seabrook and Kalkidan Assefa. DJ Sarita provides the soundtrack for opening night.

OSPN LGBT Seniors’ Bowling

Jack Charles v The Crown

Aboriginal tribal elder, actor, addict, cat burglar, homosexual — Jack Charles has been many things. And through it all, he’s maintained an unswerving optimism. The co-founder of an Australian indigenous theatre brings his autobiographical play to Canada.

The Rideau Speedeaus

The primarily queer swim team begins its eight-week Learn-to-Swim program. Participants will learn the basics of freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. The course also covers such topics as etiquette and developing aerobic pacing. To register, contact lts@rideauspeedeaus.

Snow Pride 2016 Launch Party

With DJ JC Simon spinning and sexy shooter boys scooting hither and thither, the local bar provides an entertaining kick off for Snow Pride. Taking place in late February at Mont Ste Marie, Quebec, Snow Pride is a winter-sport focused annual event for queer people.

If you can’t stand the sight of shirtless guys making out on a dancefloor, you probably shouldn’t come to this. A recent addition to Ottawa’s nightlife, this monthly party for gay guys has a dark and dirty rave feel. Toronto’s DJ Neill MacLeod provides the intense techno beats.

Knotty Fun: An Intro to Rope Bondage

Whether you’re dominant or just like to pretend you’re a melodramatic villain tying people to train tracks in a black and white film, this workshop is for you. It covers such topics as safety, buying tips and the best knots, and includes hands-on practice (a length of rope is provided).
