Northbound Leather Rapture fetish party uncovered

2011 edition to feature live crucifixion

Rapture, Northbound Leather’s fall fetish ball, is happening in Toronto on Saturday, Oct 22. Xtra got a behind-the-scenes look at what’s brewing.

The party and extravagant fashion show may be one of the largest fetish events of its kind in the world. The afterparty has a fully equipped dungeon and dozens of play stations.

Raising the wow factor to new heights year after year for 15 years must be difficult, but organizers are betting a live crucifixion will make this year’s show one for the record books. The fellow who is getting nailed – to a cross – is coming from the United States to reach his ultimate rapture.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone. That’s when we use “Xtra Staff” in place of the usual contributor info. If you would like more information on who contributed to a particular story, please contact us here.
