Manila Luzon stars in Necropolis

In line with NYC 2013 fall Fashion Week, drag icon Manila Luzon stars in the film Necropolis, a haunting stroll through the Glasgow Necropolis. On her recent trip to Scotland, Luzon collaborated with designer Gary Wilson and photographer Tony Webster, of BigBad Llama. Calling on the spirit of Madonna herself, the video is set to a cover of “The Beast Within” — a reading from the Book of Revelation.

“I was in the UK, so I wanted ‘the London look’, which, if anyone has seen those Rimmel ads, means a gap in my teeth,” Manila explains. “Pumping through a cemetery with a gap in my teeth and big blonde hair, I could have channelled either Sharon Needles or Madonna . . . I chose Madonna!”
