Emmylou Harris and 1,100 people, including Martha and Rufus Wainwright, gathered at the Notre-Dame Basillica yesterday to remember the woman who made the music that brought francophones and anglophones together all over Canada. Rufus composed and performed an original song for his mum. Rufus, who struggled with an addiction to crystal meth in 2000 and has been nominated for 31 awards in his career, arrived with his boyfriend Jörn Weisbrodt.
