Jake Gyllenhaal says gay rumours are ‘huge compliment’

Jake Gyllenhaal was interviewed by the legendary James Lipton for an episode of Inside the Actor’s Studio. In the interview he opened up about being a part of a Hollywood family, losing Heath Ledger and the rumours about his sexuality.

“Heath and I knew each other for years before [filming Brokeback Mountain] because we had both auditioned for Moulin Rouge together,” Gyllenhaal said. “I remember thinking, ‘I like this guy.’ He’s just like, super lovable. [His death] felt like losing a family member, and it still does to this day.”

When asked how he felt about being perceived as gay following Brokeback Mountain, the Academy Award nominee said he wasn’t insulted and thinks being thought of as exceedingly fabulous is “a huge compliment.”

As for what turns him on? “Tits and ass,” he replied simply.

You mean not cowboy-on-cowboy tent sex?! Way to ruin the (wet) dream, Jake.

The full interview airs Thursday, Sept 19 at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo.
