Gossip roundup: Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, Sam Ronson, Ellen and Portia

Megan Fox, the 23-year-old whose infamous distributor cap scene in 2007’s Transformers garnered her various sexiest-woman-in-the-world titles — witness as a scantily clad Fox bends over the troubled engine of a ’76 Camaro — recently told Esquire that she’s bisexual. But wait. She also boasts a hostility toward bisexual — and heterosexual — women. Huh? Says Fox in the June 2009 issue: “I think people are born bisexual and then make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society. I have no question in my mind about being bisexual. But I’m also a hypocrite: I would never date a girl who is bisexual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never sleep with a girl who had slept with a man.”

Er. Ah. What?

This isn’t the first time Fox has talked ladies. In a 2008 interview with GQ she dished on her first year alone in Holly-wood in 2004 when she fell for a stripper who worked at Sunset Blvd club the Body Shop. “I decided that I was going to get her to love me back, and I went out of my way to create a relationship with this girl, a stripper named Nikita. I was there all the time. I would go there by myself. I bought her things — perfume, body spray, girlie stuff. I turned into a weird middle-aged married man.”

Fox then invoked LiLo: “I don’t want it to come off as a Lindsay Lohan vibe. You know?” And to avoid the “is she or isn’t she” queries, Fox attempted to “straighten” things out. “Look, I’m not a lesbian. I just think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl — Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She’s mesmerizing. And lately I’ve been obsessed with Jenna Jameson.”

Fox, whose latest flick Jennifer’s Body (helmed by Juno team Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman) is slated for release later this year, starred alongside Lohan in 2004’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. “Lindsay and I weren’t the best of friends,” Fox told FHM in 2005. “Because I looked older than her she’d be nice to my face so I would buy her cigarettes. We got away with it every time.”

Speaking of LiLo, she and DJ Samantha Ronson have been spotted snagging some time together despite the couple’s explosive breakup on Apr 3 that found Lohan locked out of the swank, celebrity-studded I Heart Ronson party at Chateau Marmont.

The rendezvousing began immediately after Lohan’s Apr 23 appearance on Ellen. Ellen DeGeneres opened the interview by noting that it had been awhile since she’d last seen Lohan — the end of January, in fact, at the joint birthday party for Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi — which Ronson DJed. Though the spot felt more like an intervention than an interview — DeGeneres offering LiLo worldly wisdom about breakups, tabloids, career focus and damage control — Lohan did her best to clear up the raging rumours.

Nope, she didn’t cheat on Ronson. Nope, she didn’t call US Magazine with the “I Am So Alone” cover story. Nope, she’s not having a hard time getting work. And no, she will not stop going to clubs simply to avoid gossip: “If I go to a club, that doesn’t mean that I’m drinking, that doesn’t mean that I’m cheating on anyone or in a bathroom with someone… it means I’m going to sit with friends, listen to music because I love music and just have fun.… What are you going to do? Lock yourself away?”

Ronson’s mother and sister wouldn’t mind that — the restraining order that the pair allegedly filed against Lohan is true. Why? “I have no idea. I’ve never done anything for people to assume I’m dangerous.”

As far as Apr 3 goes Lohan says she didn’t know that she and Ronson were splitting. “That whole night — it was really tough. And I just — it came out of nowhere. I had no idea what was going on. I just hadn’t seen her in like, a week, she [had] disappeared.”

Lohan also told DeGeneres that despite gossip that would suggest otherwise, she and Ronson “are friends” and are “talking.” Lohan, who’s currently focused on getting her career “back in shape,” noted that the breakup has been positive. “When people are together so much it gets really difficult and you forget who you are because you’re more concerned about being with the other person. I think it’s been really good for me. I thought it would be so much harder and it hasn’t been.” And yes, she’d like to get back together with Ronson: “I really care about Samantha and we’ll see what happens. Maybe when we’re both fully in the right place.”
