Go Canada!

I know where I was tonight, but where were you, Vancouver?

Canada’s seven sexy delegates converged on Celebrities Nightclub to begin the battle for the right to be called Mr. Gay Canada and six of the judgiest bitches in town marked them up, down and the up again, weighed their worthiness and honed in on the early leaders in the pack. Think: American Idol meets Hunky Dreamboat…and you’ll get the picture.

I’ll be giving a full report in my print column, including the name of the winner after the Whistler component to this contest raps up on Saturday night, so pick up the next print issue of Xtra! West (hits the streets Sept 24)

Looks like I’ve got a thing for West Coasters eh? If any of you boys need a media coach, write me here at vancouvergayblog@gmail.com alright? And if you don’t need a coach, I’d love to interview you re: your experience. Call me….

I also had the pleasure of meeting the current Mr. Gay Canada title holder: James. The road from here to the International competition is arduous and frought with peril. Running in the sand is hard, even harder when you have an international dreamboat contingent cheering you on. Go Canada indeed….

Lastly, I found this in my email box this morning…and then banished it back to the interhell whence it came <shudder>
