Gleek news update

If you are a Glee fan you can breathe a sigh of relief.

The news is out that key cast members Lea Michele, Chris
Colfer and Cory Monteith will be around for Season 4.

Reports surfaced last month that the three stars
would be leaving the show because their characters, Rachel, Kurt and Finn, were high
school seniors set to graduate.

The news didn’t fly with Gleek fans; there was a Twitter
uproar that featured Michele tweeting a heartfelt “To Gleeks everywhere, you’re in my
heart now and forever.”

Roll on a few weeks later and it appears that graduating has
nothing to do with leaving school.

“They’re seniors, they’re graduating, but just because
they’re graduating doesn’t mean they’re leaving the show,” said the show’s
co-creator and executive producer, Brad Falchuk, adding, “If you have Lea Michele
under contract, you don’t say, ‘We’re gonna let you go.’”

Phew.

All of the cast except Sam Evans, played by Chord Overstreet,
will be returning to the screen in the fall.

The other Glee news?

Mercedes will get a new boyfriend after Sam leaves, Tina is only a junior in high school, and Sue Sylvester will run for Congress on the platform “No art in schools.”
