George Michael has pneumonia, cancels gigs

The 48-year-old former Wham! frontman has cancelled a series of concerts after reportedly falling ill with pneumonia. He has cancelled shows in Vienna, Strasbourg and Cardiff.

“George was recently forced to postpone tour dates under doctor’s orders after being diagnosed with pneumonia,” a statement on his website reads. “He is currently receiving treatment.”

He had already cancelled a show in October at London’s Royal Albert Hall because of throat problems and a fever, promising to reschedule.
