DJ César Murillo presents his top-10 tracks of the moment

Featured DJ: César Murillo

Hometown: Toronto

Bio: It’s not very often that club-goers have the opportunity to dance to the sounds of an artist who engineers and produces his own music and remixes, tailored specifically to the needs of the dancefloor. César Murillo is that DJ and has released more than 90 mixes in the past five years with labels such as HMSP, Selectance Records, Perry Twins Music, Essential Media Group, 3 Monkeys Music and EPride Music Digital — all available on Beatport, iTunes and other major web music stores. He just finished producing his latest single, “Don’t You Want My Love?” featuring NY singer/songwriter Corey Andrew, which will be released in the next couple months, and his latest remix of Edson Pride and Sandy Resek’s “Love Parade” is now online. His personal approach to music makes his gigs a unique and passionate display of uplifting, sexy energy. Check out his top tracks below.

1. Phunk Investigation, DJ Dan – “Everybody Over There (Original Mix)

Always get a good response from this record, good from many musical angles.

2. Lady Lago – Pushin Forward (Delicious Clubmix)

Those bells are sampled from Chic’s “I Want Your Love.” That really brings it for me.

3. Luca M & Just2 – Sweet Love (Chus & Ceballos Iberican Remix)

Another awesome remix from C&C. They are always in my crate.

4. Mono Variantis – Really Hot (Original Mix)

It’s all about the bass synth and female vocal hook. An expertly executed track — party is on!

5. Adrian Hour – Speaking Groove (Original Mix)

Lots of delays in the vocals, with driven Ibiza-style beats. This one’s for the late hours.

6. Edson Pride and Sandy Resek – Love Parade (César Murillo Pumped Remix)

Big-room peaks and progressive. I always loved this 1990s classic. Happy to be part of the remix team.

7. Jerome Robins & My Digital Enemy – Feel Good (Original Mix)

True to its name, always on my playlist.

8. Claptone, featuring Jaw – No Eyes (Original Mix)

Sexy, beautiful, soulful and deep; I love this track to send dancers home.

9. Instant Funk – I Got My Mind Made Up (DJ Dan Remix)

I have to play it! Fun and funky!

10. Stereo Soldiers – Urquinawa (Original Mix)

Very effective for the late hours of a big-room party experience.
