Jay Frog presents his top-10 tracks of the moment

Featured DJ: Jay Frog

Hometown: Hamburg, Germany

Bio: Globetrotting DJ and producer Jay Frog is one of Germany’s biggest exports and is the ultimate showman. Over the past 20 years he has unleashed countless solo dancefloor singles through his various pseudonyms and while he was in the chart-topping rave band Scooter.

He has played some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Love Parade, Nature One and Air Beat, and DJed gigs all across the world, including in Taiwan, Ibiza, Japan, Russia, America and Canada.

Jay Frog shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

1. Jay Frog & Deko-ze – “I Can Try

While Deko-ze was visiting me in Germany during his tour, we went to the studio and worked on this track. The vocal is an absolute classic for the both of us, so it was no question to use it and build a track around it. I’m very proud to have this out on Jungle Funk.

2. Master & Servant – “Katzengold

Master & Servant is a side project I’m doing together with Gordon Hollenga (a member of The Disco Boys). After some very commercial tunes, we decided to go deeper and more techy. Check it out!

3. Lizzie Curious – “Get Down (Tech House Mix)

I got to know Lizzie’s tunes through Deko-ze and really love her style and groove. Already played this one in my radio show, and it is definitely in my set.

4. DJ PP & DJ Dan – “Don’t Stop

DJ PP & DJ Dan deliver a phat stomper with an amazing baseline.

5. Richie Santana & DJ Chus – “Best Kept Secret (Zoltan Kontes & Jerome Robins Remix)

Jerome Robins is the man of the hour when it comes to absolute danceable and head-banging house music, and he delivers a great remix with Zoltan Kontes.

6. Melleefresh & Jay Frog – “Peekaboo

I met Melleefresh on my last visit to Toronto while playing at Footwork. During that night, we decided to do a track together, and here it is. A tech-house track with her sexy vocals. Can’t wait to work with her on the follow-up; watch out for this!

7. Deko-ze – “Der Kommissar (Jay Frog’s Traadideldum Remix)

One of those big 1980s tunes over here in Germany. The original by Falco is still played a lot on the radio. No question, I had to remix this for Deko-ze when he asked, and I hope it’s gonna be a classic like the original.

8. Hazzaro – “Cosmic Messenger

I play almost every release on the Vamos Music label. This one uses a classic vocal and piano. I love it!

9. Jay Frog, MC Flipside, Simone Denny – “Break Free

Another great collaboration I’m proud of. MC Flipside is one of my favourite vocalists, and I couldn’t believe my eyes meeting him at a club. Our track came out on the excellent Tiger Records label in Germany and still gets great reactions on the floor.

10. Jay Frog – “Silence

This one has always been one of my all-time favourite tunes. 123BPM for your soul.
