Gay acceptance growing worldwide
The world is a more accepting place for gay people than it was 20 years ago, according to a study from the Williams Institute. Of countries surveyed in the study, 90 percent had become more welcoming to gay people, and in 98 percent of countries, people under 30 were more likely to be accepting than the older generation. Another study released at the same time said that gay acceptance in developing countries is associated with economic growth.
Kentucky Baptists throw out gay-friendly church
A Kentucky church’s decision to allow gay marriages and the ordainment of gay clergy got it thrown out of the state Baptist organization. At an annual meeting held this week, the Crescent Hill Baptist Church’s reverend, Jason Crosby, defended his congregation’s “different perspective” and said he still wanted to be part of the Kentucky Baptists. The organization thought otherwise, however, and voted overwhelmingly to eject him.

UK may offer HPV vaccine to gay men
The UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation has recommended that men who have sex with men receive the HPV vaccine. For now, the vaccine is offered only to teenaged girls; boys are thought to be protected by herd immunity. The risks of HPV, which can cause penile and anal cancers in men, however, convinced the committee that MSM should be getting the shot, too.
Bizarre gay conversion video spawns dance remix
Perhaps the weirdest video you will see today is of a man claiming to have been saved from homosexuality at a religious convention in St Louis. “I’m not gay no more. I am delivered! I don’t like mens no more. I said I like women,” he tells the jubilant audience. Naturally, the video was promptly turned into a dance remix.
