BBC wants more Ab Fab

After the huge success and hype surrounding the new Absolutely Fabulous episodes, the BBC is eager for the show’s creator, Jennifer Saunders, to pen another series for 2013. An inside source told the Daily Express, “The viewing figures prove it’s as popular as ever, and there’s a real appetite for more episodes. Obviously it’s down to Jennifer to write more, and getting all the actors together takes some organizing. But the current understanding is there will be another Christmas special for the end of 2012 and then more episodes the following year.”

Saunders has also expressed a desire to film an Ab Fab movie, which will find Eddie and Patsy lost at sea. “I’m definitely going to do it,” Saunders said. “I’m aiming to shoot this in a beautiful part of the Riviera. I fancy the south of France in the spring.”
