Anderson Cooper, Dan Savage and Gloria Vanderbilt’s cunnilingus

Dan Savage was a part of a roundtable discussion on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 when the host asked his guests for their picks of the most scandalous stories of 2013.

Savage nominated Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, particularly for his comments about his wife and oral sex. “I love a good cunnilingus joke on the evening news,” Savage said, prompting Cooper to start talking about oral sex — and his mother.

“My mom once wrote a romance memoir [It Seemed Important at the Time] about the men she had dated — and I use that term loosely,” Cooper said. “And she described one guy she was currently dating — my mom was 85 at the time — as the Nijinsky of cunnilingus, and she made me proofread the book. I was like, ‘Mom, I don’t know much about modern dance.’”

“Or cunnilingus,” Savage added with a laugh.
