All right, Mr DeMille, I’m ready for my close-up

To quote Lola Leon, “This is my first blog entry, so it’s a little like ummmm…”

I’m gagging! And not for the usual reason. I’m truly delighted to be Xtra Vancouver’s new social columnist and blogger. Sean Horlor, who gave two months’ notice instead of the usual two weeks (such an innovator), will be sorely missed and inevitably forgotten as quickly as the last queen kicked off RuPaul’s Drag Race.Tongue out

My first act as your new God blogger is to rename it Blitz & Shitz. It’s an homage to both the fabulous ’80s-party pioneers, the Blitz Kids, and the shit I’ll be feeding you.

I love the Blitz-Kids-New-Romantic revolution because it was about the good times. So in the spirit of Steve Strange, let’s get blitzed…

PS: Sean didn’t post this shitz. Workin’ on changing that.
