The men of Ruff are celebrating Vancouver Pride in the sexiest way they know how — a giant party full of drinking, dancing and stripping.
This year’s Ruff Pride Vancouver takes place July 29, 2016 at The Pint. With nearly 900 attendees last year, Ruff Pride has become one of the hottest parties of Vancouver Pride. There’s a lot going on at this year’s event and with a tagline like “where sexy is standard” we asked organizers what makes this one of Vancouver Pride’s sexiest parties.

Not only does Ruff Pride kick off a weekend stuffed with Vancouver Pride events, but July 29 is peak summer for the city. The shorts are shorter, the shirts are off and the drinks are cool. On top of that, BC Day on Monday makes this a long-weekend, giving you an extra day to nurse that hangover.
The music
Loaded with four DJs across two dance floors, Ruff Pride’s got your ears covered. Vancouver’s DJ Mumbles and Chicago’s Karsten Sollors will be spinning upstairs. Downstairs you’ll hear local DJ Jay Douglas alongside Brian Maier, who will be in from San Francisco.

The Pint, formerly Lotus Hotel, has been hosting the event since 2012 and has a long-standing history with the local gay scene. It’s the host of four Mr Ruff events this year alone so the staff know their clientele — don’t be surprised if a shirt or two flies off behind the bar
The after-party
It’s Friday on a long-weekend so there’s really no excuse for calling it an early night. When the music stops, follow the trail of men around the corner to Steamworks Baths for an official Ruff after-party and get more acquainted with the friends you made on the dance floor. Keep your Ruff wristband on to get $5 off cover, but everything else can come off.
