Gaymer Night at Swizzles: Munchkin

This fantastically dorky evening is all about playing Munchkin. That means Munchkin Legends Deluxe, Munchkin Adventure Time and — wait for it — Munchkin Steampunk. And any other version folks decide to bring. As always, other games are on hand for the misguided Munchkin-haters.

6pm. Swizzles, 246 Queen St. For more info, visit Facebook.

Friday, May 6

Throb

The monthly party that’s unapologetically geared for gay men — hopefully of the hot, shirtless variety — is back with headliner DJ Josh Karmin from Toronto. DJ Ashley Gauthier does the warm-up set. Organized by the creators of Sashay, this party’s dark electronic beats give it a rave feel.

10:30pm. 310 Dalhousie St. throb.club

Saturday, May 7

MTLlicious

There are worse ways to spend an evening than watching a bunch of guys in dresses and big wigs lip-sync songs. There’s heroine. There’s joining a gang. Put in context, how can you pass up Jade London’s new drag night? Montreal’s Barbada de Barbade hosts.

10pm. The Lookout, 41 York St. thelookoutbar.com

Monday, May 9

Hot Spots: G-Spot and P-Spot Pleasure

If you’re going to have sex, it would be kind of nice if you knew how to do it well. And that means knowing the wheres and the hows of g-spots and p-spots. This workshop shows participants what’s up (various warm holes). People of all genders and orientations are welcome.

6:30pm. Venus Envy, 226 Bank St. venusenvy.ca

Saturday, May 14

LGBT Xpo

It’s like the internet, but in person. Each year, folk in the community are connected with representatives of various local queer and queer-friendly businesses, organizations and services. Tables will be set up, and friendly people will be on hand. For more information, contact lgbtxottawa@gmail.com.

10am. Jack Purcell Community Centre, 320 Jack Purcell Ln. lgbtxottawa.com

The Ottawa Knights’ Military Night

There seems to be something about living in the shadow of the parliament buildings that makes folk afraid of sex. They hide from it. They back away from it. They act like boring straight people. Well, the Ottawa Knights’ bar night encourages guys to get out of their shells, put on some sexy military (or quasi-military) costumes, and have some flirty fun.

10pm. Centretown Pub, 340 Somerset St W. For more info, visit Facebook.
