Me, Myself and Art, with Sagine Soul Art
Presented in a variety of mediums, Sagine Soul Art’s latest work is about inner reflection and self-expression. Following the refreshment and mingle-filled opening night, her work will be on display (and for sale) at the sex shop for the entire month of December.

Movies that Matter: Pride
In honour of International Human Rights Day, the embassy of The Netherlands screens the comedy-drama Pride. Based on true events, it’s a British film about a group of gay and lesbian activists who raise money to help families affected by the National Union of Mineworkers’ strike in 1984.

The Ottawa Gay Men’s Chorus’s latest concert is a holiday and tradition-themed show. It features more than 13 songs, an ensemble number, everything from traditional pieces to pop numbers, and works in German and Ukrainian. Attendees can also participate in a 50/50 draw.

This gay bar is finally old enough to drink. In honour of The Lookout’s 19th anniversary, this cabaret’s theme is “throwback to 1996.” The schedule includes drag (by Mz Horizon), piano (by Kendall Partington), more drag, more piano, and then dancing to DJ Jungle Jen’s hot beats.

Orchestrated by The Queer Mafia, a bunch of people take over a brewery, drink, snack, maybe play games and possibly glitter bomb the streets of Ottawa. It’s an inclusive gathering that’s very welcoming of trans people. Proceeds go to The Queer Mafia Community Fund.
