Algonquin Trans Day of Remembrance
The Algonquin Queer Student Alliance presents a full day of activities in honour of the Trans Day of Remembrance. The event includes workshops, a silent auction and talks by such speakers as two-spirit activist RJ, feminist social worker Dillon Black and human rights advocate Amanda Jetté Knox.

Second Annual Feminist Fair
The Feminist Twins’ second annual fair includes a slew of vendors: Astropuke, Trashy Kitty, KenzieCakes, Sew Crazy, Left Wing Books and more. There is a full bar service. Anyone interested in volunteering to help out on the day of the event should contact feministtwins@gmail.com.

Book-loving lads gather to discuss Paul Jackson’s One of the Boys: Homosexuality in the Military During World II. Based on martial records, psychiatric and personal files, diaries and so forth, Jackson pieces together the struggle of queer servicemen to fit in and avoid losing their careers and reputations.

Mysterious Movember
As if they needed an excuse, Canada’s Capital Kings are trotting out their most garish mustaches in honour of Movember. Ottawa’s drag king troupe puts on a show full of sexy solos, steamy duets and group numbers. The kings also promise a bit of mystery for this show, so come out and see what they’re hiding behind those whiskers.
