Bruce LaBruce’s Gerontophilia opened at Toronto’s TIFF Bell Lightbox on July 4 and will screen at the Vancouver International Film Festival on Friday, Aug 8. LaBruce’s lopsided love story about a young man yearning for a much older man has caused a stir — but it wasn’t the age gap that caught some by surprise. It was that LaBruce, one of Canada’s more notorious directors, had made a rather tender movie. Above is our interview with LaBruce.
