Jinkx Monsoon serves up ‘Coffee and Wine’

Ever wondered what it would sound like if Cat Power’s “Lived in Bars” was redone by a drag queen? Well, that’s still not a thing that exists, no matter how much I want it. That being said, Jinkx Monsoon’s first post-Drag Race single, “Coffee and Wine,” comes pretty close!

The first track off her upcoming LP, The Inevitable Album — yes, that’s what she’s calling it, BECAUSE SHE’S THE BEST — finds Ms Monsoon extolling the virtues of her two favourite beverages while a troop of burlesque women dances around her.

Oh, and for those of you wondering, coffee and wine? Do not drink it at the same time. It tastes terrible, and the combination of drunk and overly energetic will only lead to you and your mother throwing firecrackers at the neighbours’ Range Rover. That’s what you get for parking in front of our friggin’ driveway, Ms Soubrey.
