Around the globe, organizations will hold vigils and marches on Dec 1 to commemorate World AIDS Day. The AIDS crisis is far from over, says Ron Rosenes, a consultant with several Toronto organizations. (Check out our video interview with Rosenes above.)
Rosenes is taking apart in an all-day symposium in Toronto that will examine diverse perspectives on HIV/AIDS in Canada. The University of Toronto event is open to the public.
The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network’s Awards for Action is also Dec 1. The group is honouring Cameroonian gay rights activist Yves Yomb.
