Acclaimed author S Bear Bergman recently stopped by Xtra to talk with Lucas Silveira about his new book, Blood, Marriage, Wine & Glitter.

The book is a series of essays that seeks to explore and reexamine the concept of family.

Bergman is the author of Butch Is a Noun and The Nearest Exit May Be Behind You.

On Nov 27, he will launch Blood, Marriage, Wine & Glitter at Toronto’s Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. He says the evening will include author readings, pole dancers and several hundred jelly doughnuts.

Bergman kicks off his West Coast tour with Ivan E Coyote with a stop at the Wise Hall in Vancouver on Nov 29. The tour winds up Dec 6 at the Center for Sex & Culture in San Francisco.
