Xtra interviews designer Jason Matlo about his contribution, a toilet-paper gown, to the White Cashmere Collection.

Vancouver fashion designer Jason Matlo is participating in the 10th anniversary of the White Cashmere Collection to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Xtra‘s Raziel Reid got a peek at the gown and had a chance to ask Matlo about the challenges of designing with bathroom tissue.

It takes a lot of preparation to make sure it doesn’t tear, Matlo says. But it’s not much more difficult than working with chiffon, he adds.
