That’s so out of the closet

Raven-Symoné comes out, kind of

The former star of the Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven had fans further questioning her sexuality after she tweeted about the fall of DOMA and Proposition 8.

On Aug 2, Raven-Symoné tweeted, “I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.”

Media outlets previously reported that Raven was in a relationship with former America’s Next Top Model contestant AzMarie Livingston.

(Total aside: Top Model premiered earlier this week and features male models competing against female models. This format will fill most gay men with steamy thoughts and self-loathing.)

The former Disney star fired back at the reports she was dating Livingston by tweeting, “My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings [sic] to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”

But after her most recent Twitter statement, she tells E! News, “I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted. I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”

Raven-Symoné burst onto the national stage in 1989 on The Cosby Show, after Keshia Knight Pulliam grew up and was no longer adorable enough to fulfill the sitcom’s cuteness quota.

The newly out actor’s most recent television series, State of Georgia, ran for one season on ABC Family.
