The gay Hunger Games character

Actress Elizabeth Banks was recently interviewed by The Advocate, and when asked if she had ever played a lesbian character, her answer was very “Dumbledore is gay” and might surprise fans of the young-adult franchise The Hunger Games.

“I don’t think I have [played a lesbian],” Banks said, “although Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games might be gay. My vision of the Capitol is pansexual, like ancient Rome, where everybody’s doing everybody.”

Suddenly a dystopian future doesn’t seem so bad!
