Popping culture: Big Freedia brings it one more time

If you thought 2012 was a good year for bounce MC Big Freedia, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

After a big North American tour, including stops in Toronto and Montreal (but no Halifax, womp womp), Freedia was recently featured in a documentary on Pitchfork called The Queen Diva, and bounce music was recently featured in a great piece in The Atlantic.
