George Michael released from hospital

Death watch over

A visibly weakened George Michael has been released from a hospital in Austria. He has returned to his north London home, where he spoke to reporters.

“I’m very weak, but I feel amazing,” says Michael, who was suffering from a form of pneumonia.

Apparently he was close to death and woke up only 10 days ago.

“They spent three weeks keeping me alive, basically,” he says.

Below is a video of the London news conference.
