Is Anderson Cooper single again?

A couple days ago, pictures of Anderson Cooper’s boyfriend, Ben Maisani, making out with another man in public hit the web, and the internet divided itself into two halves: the first assumed that Ben was cheating, the other figured that they probably had an open relationship. Also: seriously, mouth-kissing is basically just a handshake with a possibility of cold sores. Practically harmless!

Well, according to the National Enquirer — yes, yes, I know, just suspend your disbelief for, like, five minutes — Anderson may have split up with Ben and is now healing his broken heart the way all newly single gay men do: by going on a vacation with Kelly Ripa.

According to the National Enquirer, Coop was caught “completely off guard” and ended their rumored engagement—making Maisani walk the plank off their yacht and head back to the States.

It’s likely AC was humiliated by the photos, not Maisani’s extracurricular smooching, as the two have had some wiggle room in their relationship for quite some time. (Nothing wrong with that.) [Source: Queerty]

Granted, National Enquirer. Yeah. So there’s a fairly good chance this might be mostly guesswork, and if not . . . DIBS! I CALL DIBS! It’s a shame, it really is. I really liked them as a couple, so it’s sad to see Anderson Cooper single. (But no, seriously, anyone have his number?)
