Hello books ‘n’ anarchy

This weekend is the super-rad, super-just-okay Anarchist Book Fair! No, for real: it’s very dress-down. In fact, bring some dirt in your pockets if you want to really fit in. My friend Larissa from the Co-op Bookstore will be there and describes it as “a kid-friendly, book love-in of a two-day affair.” She says, “Whether you’re into zines, art and things handmade or theoretical, analytical and other cal-type books, you’re likely to find something that piques your interest.”

Throughout the day, there are workshops, film screenings, cabaret and anarchist soccer. This is a book-themed community event. It’s free of charge, catered by Midnight Kitchen and has childcare in the Kid Zone. So bring the kids and check it out. The store is also a consignment spot for your used textbooks, novels or whatever. You make monies!

The sale continues until June 10, 2011. For more info: facebook.com/event.php?eid=138441322894846
