Photo competition & auction

On Sun, Mar 2 the AIDS Committee of Toronto hosts Snap, its gala fundraiser featuring curated art, a silent auction and photo competition. The live auction features nearly 50 artists including Andy Summers (yes, of The Police), Ed Burtynsky, Greg Girard, Kevin Viner, Lisa Platt, Sandy Nicholson, Suzy Lake and Robyn Cummings (pictured is her Pretending to Be photo); they can be previewed at Edward Day Gallery (952 Queen St W) from 10am to 7pm on Fri, Feb 22 and 10am to 6pm on Feb 23 or at Snap-toronto.com. The main event at the National Ballet School (400 Jarvis St) kicks off at 5pm with a VIP cocktail reception; doors open at 6pm with the live auction at 7:30pm.
