The world’s oldest profession is finally getting some recognition as male escorts are honoured with their own awards ceremony, known as The Hookies.
The ceremony even has sponsors.
Rentboy.com invites users to vote for their favourite escorts based on a variety of criteria such as Best Ass, Best Top and Best Tattoos. The top nominees will be flown to New York for the awards show, and the lucky winners will receive trophies to pad their resumés.
There are no Vancouver nominees this year, but that may be due to a technicality. When we get older rich men to pay our rent in return for a few sessions of slap and tickle, we don’t call it escorting. We call it the West End Community Plan.
