5 queer horror films to watch this Halloween

Xtra staff members recommend their favourite queer horror films that deliver plenty of scares

Halloween is just around the corner. What better way to get into the spooky spirit than by watching a good, gay horror movie?

Xtra staff members Tobin Ng, KC Hoard, Cody Corrall, Mel Woods and Oliver Haug sat down to recommend their favourite scary movies with queer themes and characters. Watch the video to see all the seasonal picks, including Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, Yann Gonzalez’s Knife+Heart, Tilman Singer’s Cuckoo and more.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone. That’s when we use “Xtra Staff” in place of the usual contributor info. If you would like more information on who contributed to a particular story, please contact us here.
