Fun touches down in Toronto April 25

A straight band for the gays

Fun, the New York trio whose single “We Are Young” has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five weeks, will play a show at The Guvernment on Wednesday, April 25.

While none of the three singers are gay, they are vocal allies in the fight for gay rights.

“It’s the biggest social issue of our time” says band member Jack Antonoff.

In the below interview, the members of Fun talk to Xtra about gay rights and working with Janelle Monáe.

On occasion, the number of editors and other staff who contribute to a story gets a little unwieldy to give a byline to everyone. That’s when we use “Xtra Staff” in place of the usual contributor info. If you would like more information on who contributed to a particular story, please contact us here.
