Fun digs the gays

Red-hot band says fight for gay rights 'the biggest social issue of our time'

Fun, the popular US indie band that currently holds the number three spot on Billboard with the hit “We Are Young,” has a huge gay following. The group has had a song on Glee and toured with Janellle Monae. But are they gay?

No. But they sure like us.

“It’s the biggest social issue of our time,” says band member Jack Antonoff about the fight for queer rights. “And for all people, no matter who you are, to not be commenting on it or not have a point on it is sort of letting it happened. And we’ve reached a weird moment in history where if you’re not saying something, to us, it feels like you are saying something by not saying something.”

It’s better if they explain it themselves. Below is a video interview with Antonoff and band mates Nate Ruess and Andrew Dost. Fun’s new album was released Feb 21 and the boys will tour Canada in April.
