‘Canada’s Drag Race’ Season 2: After the Sashay with Gia Metric

Xtra contributor Russ Martin gets all the tea from this week’s eliminated “Drag Race” contestant

Gia Metric marched into the Werk Room on Canada’s Drag Race with the confident stride of a seasoned supermodel. Known for her fashion-forward looks, the Vancouver-based drag star actually is a model—she even walked the runway at New York Fashion Week. And she lived up to her reputation, serving high-fashion looks like her futuristic pop princess and her gender-bent homage to Austin Powers.

Though she narrowly missed out on top three, Gia had a stellar run on Canada’s Drag Race. Following her elimination in the lip sync, Gia joined Xtra’s After the Sashay to talk about mental health, reveal whether she ever re-followed Eve 6000 on social media and show off her secret talent for making animal noises.
