Born this way? The debate continues
After Australian writer Simon Copland and British neuroscientist Qazi Rahman published dueling articles in The Guardian over whether gay folk are “born this way,” American developmental psychologist Lisa Diamond has weighed in to say that things are a bit more complicated than they appear. Diamond, who studies sexual fluidity, says that, while many gay people are born immutably gay, many more experience changes or shifts in sexual orientation throughout their lifetimes.
Swedish parade pits gays against Muslims
Swedish right-wing nationalists are planning to pit gay rights against Muslim immigrants by deliberately running a Pride parade through Muslim neighbourhoods of Stockholm.
