Réal Ménard talks about the end of the spring sitting

The first of three interviews today, I caught up with Bloc MP Réal Ménard after Question Period in the foyer of the House of Commons.

Q: What was your high point for the sitting?
A: As the justice critic, I think it was when we studied the bill C-26, against the organised crime and the sentencing. For me it was the most important bill for the Bloc.

Q: What was your lowest point for the sitting?
A: I think it was C-15, the drugs bill. It was a very bad strategy – I don’t understand how the government could propose this strategy in 2009. It was a bad one.

Q: What are your plans for the summer, now that we’re not going into an election?

A: I’m going to work in my riding, and I’m going to Paris with my boyfriend at the end of July.
