It’s been a long wait while Pink Triangle Services made sure it made the right choice for a new executive director. And now they have their pick: Michelle Reis-Amores.
Her background holds great promise for PTS, which has been largely stalled for the past year. Reis-Amores comes to PTS from her role in community health and AIDS programs with York Community Services. She established a Toronto coalition of community agencies to develop a satellite clinic for delivery of primary health care to street-involved adults and youth in need of shelters. She also has a history of advocacy work for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues, according to PTS president Keith Duncanson.
Reis-Amores has a post-graduate degree in economics and a Masters Of Science in Education.
