We’re used to looking at celebs for the hottest hairstyle ideas. For years, we’ve been showing up to the barbershop with shots of Justin Timberlake, David Beckham and Ryan Gosling. New York’s His Hair Clinic’s newest hair treatment is following in the footsteps of a rather unexpected style icon: French pornstar François Sagat.
To be clear, the popular hair-loss treatment clinic isn’t crediting Sagat as their inspiration. Rather, they’re pitching the opportunity for men with thinning hair to don the “power cut,” a rugged, clean-shaven look sported by the likes of Jason Statham or Pitbull. The difference between these celebs and Sagat? Sagat’s hair, just like the clients of His Hair Clinic, is tattooed onto the head. In an effort to make his thinning scalp more camera-friendly, Sagat got his head inked a few years back, a move for which he has become well known in fashion, film and porn. Now His Hair is offering a similar treatment to the masses through a procedure known as scalp micro-pigmentation.
“Scalp Micro-Pigmentation (SMP) is a specialized hair loss treatment that simulates the natural look of cropped hair (replicates real shaven hair follicles on the scalp), and effectively camouflages and strengthens thinning hair and pattern baldness, and even alopecia and hair transplant scars,” a press release explains, detailing the sophistication of the techniques used to give the illusion of lifelong head-stubble.
All in all, it’s a pretty straightforward procedure. The only puzzling part is why Sagat isn’t the spokesperson. Just picture it: “Is your receding hairline messing with your sex life? Bald spot getting in the way of getting banged? Tired of alopecia ruining your anal? Don’t sweat it! SMP it! His Hair Clinic. Release your inner Sagat.” Order now while supplies last.
