Women’s World Cup 2011

This year, the Women’s World Cup of soccer is in Germany. The opening game will take place in the beautiful and culturally rich city of Berlin and will see Germany taking on Canada.

This Canadian team is very strong and is coming off two tournament wins in international competition. Look for their best results yet, and watch for Laval native Amélia Pietrangelo, who, at 17, has a long, promising career ahead of her. For more details check out the FIFA website.
