The gospel according to Michele Batshitmann

“The rhetoric is far worse against people who stand for traditional marriage. If anyone gets attacked in this country, it’s people who stand for traditional marriage.”

— Michele Bachmann

Right, because people are getting kicked out of their homes by their parents, bullied in school, ostracized by society, murdered or are killing themselves because they believe in traditional marriage . . .

How do the people interviewing this woman not scream, “You dumb fucking bitch!” every time she opens her mouth? I’m sorry, I try to not attack others for their beliefs, and I certainly believe in free speech — but there is a difference between free speech and hate speech. I don’t care what your religion is. No one has a right to use God as an excuse to discriminate against other people. If you are depriving a minority of a right, like gay marriage, you are discriminating against that minority. That’s not an opinion; that is a fact.

“I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I stand for that. I don’t think that’s bigoted.”

-Michele Bachmann

bigoted |bigtid|adjectiveobstinately convinced of the superiority or correctness of one’s own opinions and prejudiced against those who hold different opinions.

expressing or characterized by prejudice and intolerance.

So what is it then, Michele? Your “religious right”? Fuck you and your religion, which is a hell of a lot closer to the devil than anything about Christ (uhm, the most tolerant dude EVER) that I’ve ever read or heard. I’m sick of people hiding behind the Bible. You shouldn’t need a book to tell you the difference between right and wrong.

She’s as testy and stupid as ever in this Piers Morgan Tonight interview. I don’t recommend you watch unless you’re about to go have rough sex. You’ll need an outlet for your frustration. Good thing I have this blog, or I’d be such a whore. Oh wait . . .
