Patton Oswalt’s ‘Christmas Shoes’

So during my brief tenure on a lesser blog that I wrote for before this one (hey, we all have to cut our chops somewhere. I’m kidding, I’m kidding!) we had this tradition where, every Christmas, we would post this video of Patton Oswalt tearing apart the absolute worst. Goddamn. Christmas song. Ever.

Every day on Twitter, I see someone tweet “OMG! Christmas Shoes! Best song ever!” and I am like NO, ANONYMOUS TWEETER, NO! Because this song is shit and absolutely fucking disturbing once you actually think about it. But I guess that’s what happens when you assume that God is responsible for everything good in your life: you also have to accept that God is responsible for all the shit in it, too. Ever try wrapping your head around the concept that God plays favourite even though that goes against basic dogma? It will mess up your mind.
