The Eleventh Hour Art Show

The sex shop’s events are so diverse you could just barf up a rainbow. This month’s art exhibit is no exception. It’s a group show that includes works by such luminaries as Jaime Koebel, Rebekah Elkerton and Rob Friday. The artists are on hand on opening night to meet passersby.

Opens Thursday, Sept 3, 7:30pm; Runs until Wednesday, Sept 30. Venus Envy, 226 Bank St. venusenvy.ca

Patio Dance Party

Party people head to Old Hull for a mixed pub night on the rooftop patio of a microbrewery. DJ Martin Leguerrier spins and there are drag performances by Jade London, Kiki Coe and Jasmine Dymond. Revellers can win sexy prizes courtesy of Venus Envy.

Saturday, Sept 5, 10pm. Gainsbourg, 9 Aubry St, Gatineau. facebook.com/gainsbourglegionnaire

She-Wolf Shooter Night

When the Ottawa Wolves are involved, you know it’s going to be a sexy event. The rugby club’s lovely ladies serve shots while toe tappers shake their butts to DJ Lady Taly’s hot beats. Includes a raffle with the chance to win tickets to the Ottawa Wolves Boat Cruise.

Friday, Sept 11, 9pm. The Lookout, 41 York St. facebook.com/ottawawolves

Leisure

Ottawa Wolves Boat Cruise

This event could easily be a (very specific variety of) fetish — cruising down the Ottawa River with a queer rugby team. The Ottawa Wolves host a night of aquatic booty shaking — music is provided by DJ Matt Tamblyn — to raise funds for their spring trip to the Bingham Cup.

Saturday, Sept 12, 8pm. For more information, visit facebook.com/ottawawolves.

Slut Walk

Folks march with the intention of reclaiming the word “slut.” Promotional material says “rape culture manifests itself in many forms. . . we’re here to challenge the shaming and blaming of victims of sexual violence.” To volunteer, contact slutwalkottawa@hotmail.com.

Sunday, Sept 13, 2pm. For more information, visit Facebook.
