Luminato lovers: Rufus Wainwright and Jörn Weisbrodt

'We fell into the ocean of love'

Rufus Wainwright and Jörn Weisbrodt are the gay “it” couple of this year’s Luminato arts festival. Wainwright is performing at the festival and his fiancé, Weisbrodt, took the reins this year as Luminato’s artistic director.

The two have settled down in Toronto for some pre-marital bliss, but their romance spans the globe. “We fell into the ocean of love,” says Weisbrodt about their international hookup.

In the video interview below Weisbrodt recounts how the couple met.

Neither “Wainbrodtnor “Weiswright” sounds quite as good as Brangelina, so we may need to keep both names.

Luminato runs until June 17. For more information on Luminato and Wainwright’s performance, click here.

Below is an interview with Wainwright at Luminato in 2010 when he walked the red carpet with Weisbrodt.
