Hate tweets to Frank Ocean

Rapper Frank Ocean recently came out in a letter, where he described his first love, another man, at age 19:

“Four summers ago, I met somebody,” Frank wrote. “I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. I’d hear his conversation and his silence . . . until it was time to sleep. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless.”

Since coming out, Frank has had support from many in the gay community, as well as some influential people in the music industry, like 50 Cent, Russell Simmons and Beyoncé. He’s also faced backlash from the public, most of which has played out on social media sites like Twitter, where cowardly trolls can hide behind computer screens.

A new website, Hate Tweets to Frank Ocean, has popped up, showing some of the hate that is being sent Frank’s way. The best part of the website is that you can directly tweet every ignorant asshole personally or with a pre-written tweet that simply reads, “It isn’t who you love – it’s *that* you love that truly matters.”

Now excuse me while I let @BrooklynBiscuit know that I’d need 10,000 blunts before I’d take a bite out of him and that the answer to his question, “@FrankOcean are you the female or the dude with your boo?” isn’t only offensive, but none of his fucking business. Then I’m moving on to tell @EpicThoughts, who tweets, “Damn frank ocean Ah fag too… THIS shit gotta STOP,” that epic means “heroic or grand in scale and character,” not retarded and randomly capitalized. But I’m the most eager to get back to @rCavarli, who tells Frank to “go lick Fat Joes ass ring.” Bitch, that ass is mine!
