Despite landing on a Monday and weather reports that predicted showers, thousands of revellers descended on Church St for a Halloween bash that capped off four days of spooky fun.
The annual street party had been scaled down from the festivities that were organized by the Church-Wellesley Business Improvement Area, with the help of Tourism Toronto, in previous years. As Xtra reported Oct 18, the DJ and light show had been cut from the Halloween party, but the new Second Cup filled the void with a dance party on its patio that blasted beats into the street.
The Second Cup opened in the former Zelda’s space in September.
But the main attraction has always been the informal parade of costumed revellers that takes over Church St on Halloween night.
