Halifax Pride gearing up for summer

Pride festivities in the HRM may not be for a few months yet, but the people behind the annual event are already starting to put things into play.

This Saturday at the North End Memorial Library (2285 Gottingen St), Halifax Pride will be hosting its first community meeting of the year. The meeting will take place from 10:30am until noon. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Pride is already taking submissions for entertainment for this summer’s roster of artists. Applications will be accepted until April 1, 2014. For more information and applications, check out the website.

Pride is also gearing up for the annual Fancy Gay Dress Party fundraiser. Held at the Westin and emceed by C100’s Jax, this event is an evening of dinner and dancing, with proceeds going toward this summer’s Pride. You can purchase tickets online at the EventBrite page.
