Death of two ladies? But we’re only 5 days into 2k10!

Surprising late night news in the celesbian world. Casey Johnson, fiancée of Tila Tequila, has died, reports TMZ. Courtney Semel, who was on the cover of this month’s Curve, said Johnson was the love of her life. Tila, meanwhile, wasn’t too heartbroken to tweet about it. But people deal with loss in various ways, so who are we to judge?

Another lady left us on New Year’s Day, Lhasa de Sela lost her battle with breast cancer. The singer died in her Plateau home after 21 months since the diagnosis. Now go get your tits checked. Some local coverage on her death: rue Frontenac; la Presse.

Now, let’s watch some Neko Case and get cheered, what say you? I also included an English, lovely 2009 track by de Sela. She mostly sang in Spanish.
